Savvy Travelers Love Vacation Rentals. Here's what they have to say.
Beautiful (Branson, Missouri) The condo was beautiful and the view was beautiful. We really enjoyed our time there. It was great to sit on our balcony and watch the geese fly by. We had plenty of room and it was very comfortable. It was close to Branson shows and easy to travel back and forth. We loved the privacy it afforded in the midst of a community of condos. It was everything we needed and much more. We would love to be able to stay there again sometime. Cape Lookout - The Perfect Place to Stay (Lincoln City, Oregon) We have stayed in a lot of condos, and this is most definitely one of the nicest ones. So roomy and with very comfortable furniture. Also, very well-equipped. The location is perfect (saw whales from the balcony). Would certainly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a place to stay along the Oregon coast. Anniversary weekend was a success ! (Lake Cypress Springs, Texas) We invited to other couples to celebrate our anniversary over the weekend. House was just the right size. Had everything we needed & was clean. Parking was only thing that was even a remote negative. Parking space is very small, but is duable. Owners are verrry nice people. Will be apt to rent again in future. Also with other houses would make great place for family reunion or multiple family vacation. East Falmouth rental (East Falmouth, Massachusetts) Location is ideal. Easily accessible to all the great spots in Cape Code. Plenty to do in rain (and it rained 5 days so we are experts now) & shine. Bringing your pooch is a bonus. And at end of long day you can relax on patio looking out over a small pond. "HEAVEN ON POMAR LANE" (Santa Barbara, California) Normally you begin a story at the beginning, but in this case, ours started before....Jan, the thoughtful owner of this dream home, sent the keys together with a lovely welcoming note card, the front of which was a reproduction of a beautiful painting of her home. On arrival, we were greeted with large bouquets of fresh flowers cut from the story book gardens around the home. The home was just as advertised adorned in French Country antiques and tasteful accessories reminiscent of Cape Cod. The spacious country kitchen was a favorite; plenty of room for our "chefs" to help with meal preparations. We enjoyed all or our meals on the adjoining terrace surrounded by hydrangeas, roses and many more fragrant flowers. A large standalone fireplace was the perfect place for S'mores, singing and quiet conversation. The children loved the basketball court and table tennis. We shot endless "hoops" and enjoyed every moment there. A highlight of this spacious paradise was the master suite with it's large walk-in shower, separate powder room and even a large comfortable home theater with loads of beautiful windows and French doors to view the meticulously maintained gardens on all sides of the house. Pomar Lane is nestled in the "Hedge Row" area of Montecito. Some of the hedge rows on either side of the winding lanes are at least 25 feet high. The beauty is impossible to describe... it must be experienced. And, it's just a short walk to a lovely Pacific beach. The children loved "Boogie Boarding" and making sand castles. We're already planning on our next visit to this coastal paradise. Thank you, Jan for an unforgettable vacation. Can't wait to come back (Birr, County Offaly, Ireland) Wonderful cottage, beautiful, comfortable, and in a great spot. Our hosts were very accomodating, and a welcoming fire was burning in the wood stove when we arrived. We were able to make day trips to Kilkenney, Galway, Cashel and Cavan. Nearby Kilcormac had everything we might need, be sure to check out Feighery & Sons Pub. Within half hours drive from... Clonmacnoise, Slieve Bloom Mountains and Lough Boora Parklands. We were just 2 so had plenty of room, would be snug with 8, comfy for 6, as any cottage would be. Can't say enough, we hope to be back in the future, thanks for the great stay. Charming cottage & stunning oceanfront playground! (Gouldsboro, Maine) Our family with 2 children (ages 9 & 11) loved this place! Cottage sits so close to the water that we heard the waves lapping night and day. Sometimes we were treated to the sounds and views of waves crashing and spraying gently over the rocks as the tide came in with the wind. The views overlooking the water from the wide floor to ceiling sized windows in the living room and upper bedroom are amazing. At night, we enjoyed watching the lighthouse beacon's light that sits across the cove from the cottage. The place feels very secluded and quiet, although there are neighboring cottages. We were treated to eagles, loons, and falcons right outside the cottage almost daily. The cottage is surrounded by quaint working fishing villages and all the locals are very friendly and welcoming. In this area of Schoodic, there's a real sense of a small town community where everyone seems to know everyone. We took a couple of day trips into Acadia National Park (on Mt Desert) and were so grateful to be able to leave the crowds at the end of the day to return to our quiet cottage retreat. It was a 45 minute drive (one way). It's a very short drive (6 miles) to the uncrowded and beautiful Schoodic section of Acadia National Park from the cottage. Our kids would often beg to return to their "rocks" at the cottage which had become their favorite playground over all that Acadia had to offer them. Gorgeous cove setting and beach area to walk and explore, usually all to ourselves. The cottage has a loft over each bedroom. The ends of the lofts are open ended (no guard rails/walls) and accessed by ladders. Our kids loved having their private (hard to access by the adults) retreats. Cottage has 1 bathroom on ground level with old-fashioned clawfoot tub outfitted with showerhead and curtain. Steep half-spiral wooden staircase (with wide step area) to access bedroom level. It was a challenge for my elderly mother-in-law with knee issues to manuever, but she did it with assistance. Cottage was beautifully decorated, cozy, yet has an open feel. Has a lot of personality and character. Rustic and modernized at the same time. Comfortable beds. Clean linens. Very personable and helpful owner who goes out of her way to ensure you have a nice stay. Don't stay here if you want modern hotel-like accomodations. But if you want a gorgeous tranquil setting by the water and a charming cottage with lots of personality, this is it! We will be going back! Great place to stay! (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina) Our first stay at Kingston, third time to Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach has so many fun things to do for the family, we keep returning! We chose this property so our daughters could go to the waterpark, which was great fun for them. We had access several pools and other amenities too. There was live entertainment and DJs, some organized games, and bars with servers to bring (resonably priced)drinks and food all around the pool decks. The landscaping was great too! We really enjoyed the short walk across the bridge and around the pond, watching the ducks and turtles, and the beautiful sprawling tree just outside the entry side of the villa. The unit was clean and roomy, the beds were comfy, 3 nice flatscreen TVs, and maid service dropped by daily to make beds, bring towels, and take out trash- an unexpected treat! On the downside - The pools were rather small and crowded, and the lazy river was also pretty small and had oddly strict rules about usage. The bedspreads were noticeably old, washed but still very old. The kitchen was equipped with minimal, cheap equipment, no usable knives and very old oven and microwave. Very few personal touches here, but a few upgrades would really improve this unit. Great getaway for a group (West Yarmouth, Massachusetts) This is a beautifully furnished and well-appointed home, lots of great features and surprisingly well-stocked. Every corner you turn outside is another cozy place to sit and read or enjoy a glass of wine. Plenty of room for adults and kids, with enough space in the lower area to give adults privacy in the main area upstairs. Reasonable price, friendly owners, all the comforts of home -- it all adds up to a great getaway. Country Club Villas Unit 342 (Kailua Kona, Big Island, Hawaii) The condo is very spacious and provide a great ocean veiw. Thegolf couse is right next to the villas and very close to Alii drive which offers a lot of beaches and shops. It's very close to the Keauhou shoppping mall and you can get what you need to eat and drink. It takes about half an hour from the KONA airport but it's reasonable distance to drive. Overall, we really had a good time and liked the condo in the location. Comfortable & Homey (Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii) This condo is comfortable and as described. Jim and Yas provide the basics for a happy holidaying family, with beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, snorkels, fins and masks. The beds are comfortable & the Ala Wai breeze delightful. The air conditioning is a there, but not necessary and the internet is an added bonus. The kitchen is nicely equipped, but a few more saucepans and tongs wouldn't go astray. The building is quiet and the residents friendly, sure there is some street noise, but in Waikiki it's hard to avoid. The owners were readily accessible and very helpful in making our trip easy, we found them professional and polite and have no hesitation in recommending their property to others. Enjoy. Week at the beach (Indian Shores, Florida) We had a great time, the weather was wonderful, the sunsets were gorgeous. Will definitely consider this place again. Desert Casa Getaway (Cathedral City, California) This place is really amazing! We came for a weekend getaway and this house had everything we needed to enjoy out time there. The pictures don't do it justice! It's beautiful. Lots of custom work and decorations. Our dog loved running around in the huge backyard while we lounged by the pool. We will definately be back in the future! Wonderful Home (Davenport, Florida) We stayed in this home at the end of July/early August of 2011 and had a great time!! The home was extremely clean and organized, and well-appointed with what we needed for our stay. The home itself is very open and bright with a spacious layout for families. Also, the location was perfect and no more than a 8-10 minute drive for us to the Disneyland parks, which we found very convenient (of course it depends on how fast you drive. :)) The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because of a few very minor issues discussed with the owner, none of which affected the comfort of our stay. We had a marvelous time. The owners were also extremely punctual with all correspondence ahead of time, which helped because this was a somewhat last-minute trip for us. I would absolutely recommend the home for a comfortable, affordable, convenient, super fun vacation spot and we would return! Thanks again!! |
